Bailey

Do kittens grow on trees? A few days ago Dale and Mona brought home another litter from MEOW Cat Rescue, but this time I give them credit for not skulking around in the dark of night to keep it a secret. Maybe they’ve finally figured out that my network of spies goes beyond anything they can imagine.

There are four kittens and their mom, and they will all be available for adoption at MEOW in a couple of weeks. Here’s a sneak peek so you can check them out in advance.

The Kittens:

Richie Cunningham

Richie Cunningham

Richie Cunningham gets his name from the character on the show Happy Days. Why? Because he has a shock of red fur around his ears that reminds you of.. Richie Cunningham. What is this infatuation people have with TV characters, anyway? I can’t figure out humans.

Joanie

Joanie

Joanie is a cute little girl that really likes to be the center of attention. A medium-haired tabby, her fur is super-soft and great for petting. She has the potential to be a little troublemaker (in a good way)! Like me.

Chachi

Chachi

Chachi is an adorable little tiger cat who is extremely friendly and likes people. He is very well behaved and loves hanging out with Joanie. Who would have guessed.

Potsie

Potsie

Potsie is really cool because he is what’s known as a “blue” cat.  At first glance you think he’s gray, but not quite a neutral gray. This dude is cool.

Mrs. C

Mrs. C

Mrs. C is the mother of these cute kids. Mona says if you’re looking for a cat that loves to be petted then she’s the one. [Not that I would know… she won’t even let me into the room.  HEY! CATS HAVE RIGHTS!  For heaven’s sake, I’m a cat with my own website.  Don’t you think I have the smarts to behave in front of guests? The way I get treated around here you’d think I was a dog or something.]

So there you go. Come by for a visit, and pet me too while you’re here. Because I’m an awesome cat. And a damn good looking one to boot. Yeah, damn good looking…

Bailey

Hi everyone. Bailey here. I’ve been impressed lately by all the progress cats are making in the world. As you well know from reading this blog cats already make first-rate journalists. The other day I discovered that a cat has been mayor of a town in Alaska for 15 years.

So all the global attention around the Olympics for the past couple of weeks got me thinking… when do we get to be in the Olympics? There are lots of events where we blow you humans away. Ever seen a human jump from the floor to the top of an eight foot piece of furniture in a single bound?  I rest my case.

The New Kittens

It looks like Bailey let the cat out of the bag with his undercover report. When did cats become journalists?

Some of these kittens will be available for adoption as soon as this coming weekend (March 17-18) at MEOW Cat Rescue in Kirkland, WA.

They are still small (about three pounds) and already spayed/neutered, so it’s a perfect time to adopt them!

Bailey

It’s your undercover correspondent Bailey the Cat here with BREAKING news. Remember… you heard it here first!

My inside source has just leaked some major info. It turns out that Dale and Mona are hiding more foster kittens right under my nose in the study.

Fortunately for you, my faithful readers, my source is very good and I have obtained photos and dossiers of all involved. Here you go:

Kitty Kousins!

Mona just came back from her annual holiday trek to visit her family and their cat Christmas. Yep, the cat’s name is Christmas. Her nieces are cat fanatics and one of them, Susan, even drew a picture of Christmas to share with everyone.

Christmas looks like a really cool cat, but what’s even better is that Susan included pictures of our four cats (with artistic license). Hopefully they’ll get to meet in person sometime, but until then maybe Bailey is looking for penpal.

Growing Kitties!

We’ve had our foster kittens for a couple of months already and it’s amazing how fast they grow. A few weeks ago we broke down and ordered a scale to track their weight. Check it out:

Kitten Weights

Lots of growth in just three weeks!

To put this in perspective, Milshake grew 55% in 3 weeks. Wow!

Yesterday was the big spay/neuter day. All four kittens are recovering nicely and will be with us a couple more weeks before they head back to MEOW for adoption. We’ve decided to adopt a couple of them ourselves but will keep our choices a surprise for now.
